Choose your own volunteering schedule: We offer different ways for you to get involved, depending on your free time:
Long-term volunteering: Become a full-time member of our team for at least three months and be active at least twice a month.
Short-term volunteering: If you don't have a lot of time, you can join certain actions just once or occasionally.
Crisis assistance: Be there when help is needed the most - in emergencies and extraordinary situations that require a quick response.

A volunteer of the Croatian Red Cross is anyone who voluntarily invests their time, energy, knowledge and skills to help others and contribute to the common good. No financial compensation is provided for volunteering; the biggest reward is the feeling that you have helped someone and made a positive change.
Based on preferences, knowledge and experience, there is an opportunity to participate in many different volunteer programs of the Croatian Red Cross: first aid, voluntary blood donation, tracing service, youth work, health protection and promotion, social care, crisis preparedness and response, water lifesaving and coastal environmental protection, asylum and migration.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) defines volunteer management as the process of managing and developing human resources. This includes creating an enabling environment in which volunteering is promoted, new volunteers are attracted, their long-term involvement is fostered, new ideas are developed and people are motivated to volunteer in accordance with the mission of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
