Governing Board of the Croatian Red Cross
Governing Board of the Croatian Red Cross has 15 members who are elected at the constituent session of the General Assembly from among members of the Assembly for a four-year term.
Governing Board is the executive body of the General Assembly responsible for the work of the Croatian Red Cross between the sessions of the Assembly. It solves all the issues during the year in compliance with the decisions, resolutions and recommendations of the General Assembly and in compliance with mandates established by the Statute of the Croatian Red Cross. It convenes when necessary.
Governing Board discusses and adopts yearly programmes and financial plans and takes care of their execution; decides on: allocation of funds, joint actions of the Croatian Red Cross; determines the amount of membership fees; decides on establishment of institutions and companies and gives its consent when the founder is Municipality, City or County branch organization. It also manages and allocates funds.
Governing Board: takes care of human resources; examines current issues from individual branches and Croatian Red Cross as a whole; takes stands and issues recommendations, decisions, guidelines and directions for the work of local branches and rules for particular activities. Governing Board sets up working bodies as necessary, appoints Commission for Awards, and Ethical Commission. Governing Board adopts normative legal acts on organizational structure of the CRC central staff service.
