This community support service is implemented in the remote areas of Banovina, Lika, Kordun, Dalmatian inlands and Slavonia with the financial support of UNHCR. Our beneficiaries are the most vulnerable persons living in remote villages. Mobile teams provide technical assistance, in-house help and facilitate the health care provision.
This program of the Croatian Red Cross facilitates strengthening of local community and enables faster reintegration and resocialization of the vulnerable.
Technical assistance provided by the Croatian Red Cross includes: distribution of humanitarian relief (food, personal hygiene products, non-food items); small home repairs (replacing doors, door-knobs and locks); acquiring, cutting and chopping of wood; water well sanitation; delivery of drinking water.
Home Visits Program - psychological support; cleaning of house and the backyard; assisting people with slight disabilities; cooking simple meals; delivery of meals; assistance with paper work – acquiring of their status and rights.
Croatian Red Cross assists the beneficiaries with acquiring health care: offers them transport or brings medical staff to their homes, helps them to get medications, orthopaedic aids, health insurance.
