Croatian Red Cross representatives were active participants of the events in Solferino at the end of June 2009.

Four CRC volunteers participated in organization and preparations for the Youth on the Move meeting and celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Solferino. 

The Youth on the Move was attended by four volunteers of the Croatian Red Cross. One of them joined the Journey of an Idea, commemorative march to Geneva.

Four volunteers joined the ERU WatSan team that participated in a live disaster response and relief exercise. 

Events in Solferino ended with the traditional Fiaccolata on June 27 that was attended by several thousand participants.
