The Croatian Red Cross held the 13th National Youth Competition from 8 to 10 May in Umag (peninsula of Istria). Youth members from all Croatian regions competed in first aid, IHL and the history of the Red Cross. 120 competitors in 20 teams took part.

There were two categories – one for the primary school and the other for secondary school students. The Competition was held in the Week of the Red Cross and the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day was marked on this occasion as well. We used this opportunity to promote the Our World. Your Move. campaign. On this occasion we hosted the Solferino flag that was signed by the winners. Winners of the Competition shall be rewarded by a trip to Solferino for the traditional Fiaccolata at the end of June.
